(FSMS) is committed to protecting your privacy and strives to offer its visitors the many advantages of Internet technology and provide an interactive and personalized experience. FSMS safeguards your personal information to maintain member and customer trust. We take seriously the trust you place in us and will not sell, rent, lease or give your personal information to others. FSMS encourages you to read this Privacy Policy and those of all web sites you visit. We may use Personally Identifiable Information subject to the terms of this privacy policy.

What Information is Collected

The data FSMS collects is used only to help FSMS better serve its members. It is our general policy to only collect and store personal information that our members and visitors knowingly and voluntarily provide.

Data collected in general

FSMS does not collect any personal information from users browsing our Web site. Users to the public areas of the FSMS Web site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data such as the number of hits per page or what domain the user came from are collected. Aggregated Information (information that does not personally identify you) may be used in many ways. For example, we may combine information about your usage patterns with similar information obtained from other users to help enhance our site and services (e.g., to learn which pages are visited most or what features are most attractive). Again, this information does not include any Personally Identifiable Information about you or allow anyone to identify you individually.

If you choose to use certain services of FSMS.org, we may require you to provide contact and identity information.

To gain access to eLearning course material and order correspondence courses on the FSMS Web site, users may be asked to register and provide personal information such as name, license number, member number (when available), firm name, title, mailing address, business phone, fax and e-mail. Where possible, we indicate which fields are required and which fields are optional.

Similar contact and identity information may be submitted to FSMS when accessing members-only resources.

These data are submitted voluntarily. If you choose not to use a particular service or feature, you do not have to provide the contact or identity information it calls for.

From Classifieds Area of Website

You should be aware that if you voluntarily submit and disclose Personally Identifiable Information on our Classified Advertising boards, that information can be viewed publicly and can be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited messages from other individuals or third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of FSMS and this policy.

How We Use Data Collected

FSMS uses information voluntarily submitted by members and other customers in the following ways:

Cookies

Cookies are files that contain information created by a web server that can be stored on a User's hard disk for use either during a particular session ("per-session" cookie) or for future use ("persistent" cookie). FSMS from time to time might use cookies only to facilitate automated activity, store and track passwords, determine appropriate solicitations, and review navigation patterns. Cookies are not used to disseminate significant information about Users over the Internet or to analyze any information that Users have knowingly or unknowingly provided. Users may instruct their Internet browsers to opt out of accepting a "persistent" cookie and rather accept only a "persession" cookie, but will need to login each time they visit the site to enjoy the full benefits. If the user declines the attachment of any cookie, the user may not have access to the full benefits of the website.
