Brown & Phillips, a well established Land Surveying Company in West Palm Beach, is looking for a Survey Technician/Surveyor. This is a full time position with competitive salary depending on experience.

Scope of Position 
Assist in the preparation of project layouts and contract documents in accordance with the company design standards and client requirements. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Under minimal supervision, compile/reduce field crew data (point files) and convert all applicable information into electronically generated drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D with accuracy, neatness and speed.

2. Oversee multiple survey crews and office staff.

3. Draft final surveys from survey crew field notes and field measurements.

4. Compute horizontal and vertical positions of buildings, streets, curbs, etc. for stake-outs.

5. Check record plats for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.

6. Submit surveys to government agencies for review.

7. Experience to include a thorough knowledge of topographic surveys, boundary surveys, residential and commercial construction stakeout procedures and practices, along with the ability to create 3D surfaces.

8. Candidate must also have the ability to perform a variety of computations for traverse, record plats, boundary surveys, construction stake-outs, horizontal control, etc.

9. Maintain communication and coordination with clients to ensure satisfaction through completion of each project.

Position Requirements
1. Strong computer skills and AutoCAD/CAD experience, Civil 3D experience required.

2. Knowledge of general survey principles and commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.

3. Primary work is for boundary surveys, topographic mapping, construction layout and subdivisions (traditional land development work).

4. Must be well organized, able to meet deadlines and deal with clients in a professional manner.

5. While a Florida licensed PSM is not required, the ability to obtain a State of Florida PSM license will be a bonus.
