The firm has offices throughout the U.S. and provides a comprehensive range of infrastructure services to a diverse client base in over 30 states.

We are seeking a Professional Surveyor and Mapper to join our team in the Orlando office. In this position you will assist act as, and assist other Survey Project Managers, in the execution of various public and private sector survey assignments. You will direct teams of technicians and field crews to complete large-scale public and private works improvement projects, while coordinating survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.

A strong FDOT production background and Right-of-Way mapping is required, with experience working with FDOT District 5 is highly preferred. The majority of project assignments will be performed for Public Sector clients.

Over the past several decades, WGI has delivered a variety of transportation projects including some of the largest and most complex interstate projects in the state of Florida. As a firm we continue to grow and look forward to the opportunity to add dedicated professionals.

-Coordination with crews and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities
-Coordination with Survey Project Managers and other discipline leads on scheduling objectives and project milestones
-Assignment of daily responsibilities for survey field crews and office technicians
-Perform boundary analysis for large-scale corridor, route, and sectionalized land surveys
-Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey related documents as the responsible professional in charge of survey and mapping projects
-Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and preliminary project deliverables

-Licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months
-One to five years of post-registration/licensure experience inclusive with four to eight years of overall progressive survey experience is desired
-Four-year degree in Geomatics or related field highly preferred
-Strong technical skills, including experience with Microstation, Geopak, and AutoCAD Civil3D
-Experience with Microsoft Office-Strong communication, writing and organizational skills
-Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale public sector survey projects is preferred
