Description & Nature of Work:
Snelgrove Surveying and Mapping, Inc. is seeking to hire a registered land surveyor. The immediate need is for the position of project surveyor. Depending on the individual’s experience, skills and goals, advancement to project management would be a possibility.

Examples of Duties:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week in general but may require overtime when necessary. This is an office position but will require field reviews, field crew support, and occasional field work for special circumstances. Individual will be expected to instruct and support field crews in field procedure, equipment issues and project specific procedures. We have drafting positions to assist surveyors in plat production but drafting could occasionally be required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Desired qualities include the individual be licensed to survey in at least the State of Florida (good standing); have a Florida Driver’s License in good standing; have significant field survey experience; have experience performing boundary, topographic, geodetic, and construction surveys including research, field work, computations, and plat production related to those survey types; be computer and technologically savvy including the ability to learn, operate and adapt to the everchanging world of survey and drafting software. In addition to the above qualities, experience in route and transportation surveying would be an advantage.

Licenses or Certifications:
PSM or PLS in Florida
